Conqueror Fountain
A five pint capacity fountain designed by Mr Shepherd. Since its introduction over 20 years ago this fountain has gained popularity for the following reasons:
The Cone and the bowl are much thicker than any other plastic fountain on the market.
There is a bead running around the bottom of the cone for strength - not a gulley which catches the pigeon droppings when birds perch on top of the fountain.
The guard slopes in at the bottom. This allows the cone to cover the bowl completely, therefore eliminating all droppings from the top of the fountain and also from the sides if the pigeon should reverse before excreting.
The bowl has splayed sides so if the water freezes you simply take it indoors, turn it upside down under a warm tap and the block of ice will fall out automatically. This is a great improvement on the many straight sided bowls which, if you carried out this operation, would invariably split when the ice expanded.
